Christmas Crunch Smoothie

Im sure if you have tried using smoothies as part of a balanced diet, you will have found results with whatever goal you are aiming to achieve. For many of you this is weight loss, for others muscle building and perhaps the rest of you guys are just looking to get your five-a-day. Well the time has come where you can let off some much needed steam and treat yourself to a smoothie for Christmas. This is not a healthy smoothie, so please do not consider this recipe on a regular basis! However, it is extremely tasty and something the whole family will enjoy over the festive period... You will need:

  • Blender [Need one of these?]
  • 1x medium sized Chocolate Chip Cookie (Not double chocolate)
  • 1 Cup of milk
  • 1x Tablespoon of Baileys or similar
  • 1x handful of frozen Raspberries

The amount listed should serve one person. I recommend you multiply the ingredients by the number of people you are serving. Easy on the Baileys though!

Step 1
First step is to crumble the cookie into the Blender and add the cup of milk. Blend for around 10 seconds until you can see the texture is bitty and slightly chocolatey.

Step 2
Next we add the Rasberries and the Baileys. Blitz for another 15 seconds. At this stage, you have two options; I usually prefer the thickness quite light because I enjoy this recipe after my Christmas dinner and find myself fairly full up. However, you can add a couple of dollops of natural yoghurt or double cream to thicken the mix if you prefer.

Step 3
Enjoy the Christmas Crunch Smoothie and have a great Christmas!
